About Wellness In Mind Therapy

Helping You Manage Stress, Find Balance, and Perform at Your Best

Life can move fast, school deadlines, work pressure, team expectations, and endless responsibilities pulling you in every direction.

Meet Nick Rogell, LPCC

If you’re an athlete, musician, or performer, you probably know the weight of high expectations. One bad game, a missed note, or a drop in motivation can make everything feel heavier than it should.

At Wellness In Mind Therapy, we get it, because we work with people like you every day. Our goal is simple: to help you better understand yourself, manage the stress that comes with chasing big goals, and find confidence in your own strengths.

Sports, Stress, and Everything In Between

Nick isn’t your typical therapist. As a former college athlete, he understands the pressure, expectations, and constant juggling act that come with chasing big goals while managing school, work, and life. He connects with clients in a way that feels real and down-to-earth, creating a space where you can talk openly without judgment. With years of experience working with college and professional athletes and performers, Nick specializes in helping people manage anxiety, burnout, performance pressure, and the challenges of balancing everyday life with personal passions.

Sports and competition have always been a big part of Nick’s world, and he understands the mental load that comes with pushing yourself to succeed. Whether you’re an athlete working toward peak performance, a college student feeling overwhelmed, or a young professional balancing work and life, Nick meets you where you are and works with you to build tools that actually fit your lifestyle.

FAQ

We know starting therapy or performance consulting often comes with a lot of questions. To make things easier, we’ve gathered answers to the most common ones here. From how sessions work to who we work with, this section is designed to give you clear, straightforward information so you feel confident before getting started.

Are sessions available in person or online?

At Wellness in Mind Therapy, sessions are offered online only through a secure and private telehealth platform. This gives you the flexibility to connect from anywhere in Ohio or Kentucky, whether you’re at school, home, or traveling for competitions or performances. Online therapy makes it easier to fit sessions into your schedule without extra stress.

WHAT STATES ARE YOU LICENSED IN?

Nick Rogell, MA, LPCC, CMPC, is a licensed therapist in Ohio and Kentucky. If you’re located in either state, you can book sessions confidently knowing your care meets all state licensing requirements.

Do you work with kids or teens?

Typically, therapy at Wellness in Mind focuses on young adults ages 18 and older. However, on a case-by-case basis, Nick works with clients 16 and up if it feels like a good fit. If you’re unsure, the free 15-minute consultation is a great way to discuss whether this would work for you or your teen.

How long is a typical session?

Most sessions last 50 minutes to one hour. This allows enough time to focus on your goals, build effective coping strategies, and leave each session with clarity and direction.

How often would we meet?

The frequency of therapy sessions is collaborative and based on your needs. Many clients start with weekly sessions for the first three weeks to establish momentum, then adjust together to biweekly or monthly depending on your progress and goals.

Do you work with athletes from any sport?

Yes. Whether you play soccer, basketball, golf, tennis, baseball, or compete in less traditional sports, mental performance skills are teachable and transferable. Nick has extensive experience working with athletes at every level, including college, professional, and recreational players, helping them strengthen focus, confidence, and mental resilience.

Do you work with executives and high performers?

Absolutely. Nick works with C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals who want to improve focus, stress management, decision-making, and performance under pressure. The same mental strategies that help athletes succeed can be applied to leaders balancing high-stakes roles.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, Wellness in Mind Therapy accepts insurance. Coverage depends on your plan, and we recommend contacting your provider directly to confirm your benefits. We’ll gladly help guide you through the process and discuss payment options if needed.
